Residential Property Improvement Program (RPIP)

Qualified property owners in all CRA districts may apply for forgivable loans to repair, restore, and enhance residential properties.
The RPIP is designed to help residents stay in their homes while preserving the historic and traditional character of CRA neighborhoods. The program is open to income-qualifying homeowners and landlords who agree to maintain their property as an affordable unit for a required affordability period.
Eligible applicants may receive up to $105,000 in assistance.
Eligible improvements include, but not limited to the following:
- Structural cleaning
- Exterior painting or siding
- Door and window replacement
- Roofing
- Landscaping
- Exterior lighting
- Fencing
- Porch repair or replacement
- Shutters
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- HVAC
